How waterproof is WangGan's device?

As a professional manufacturer of GPS devices for outdoor use, waterproof performance is the focus of many buyers. Although we recommend that you use it in sunny weather conditions, it is inevitable that unexpected rain will come occasionally.

Can our equipment withstand rain? The answer is exactly yes.

In fact, in most rainy environments, our machines can work normally. We have specially used industrial-grade waterproof and dustproof technology. For our s series products (s1, s3, s4, s8), they can reach IP65 waterproof and dustproof level; for our D series(D5E,D6E), it has been upgraded to IP67.

What is IP65/IP67?

Maybe you don't have a specific concept of our protection level alone, so let us first explain what IP65/IP67 is.

‌IP67 waterproof level refers to the protection safety level of electronic equipment, where "IP" stands for "Ingress Protection", that is, the entry protection level. ‌ The IP67 standard was drafted by the International Electrotechnical Commission and defines the protection ability of an interface against liquid and solid particles.  The IP67 standard includes two numbers, the first number indicates the dustproof level, ranging from 0 to 6, and the second number indicates the waterproof level, ranging from 0 to 8. Therefore, IP67 indicates that the device has high dustproof and waterproof capabilities. ‌

Specifically, IP67-level devices can be completely immersed in water for 30 minutes without being affected, and can also withstand a water depth of about 1 meter.

Therefore, even in a harsh stormy environment, our machine can still work normally. Of course, we once again recommend that you choose good weather conditions to avoid the impact of natural weather such as thunderstorms and fog on satellite signals.
